As the Chair of the Performing Arts Committee, I’ve championed arts and culture in Mountain View, enhancing our city’s cultural vibrancy and supporting local artists and performers.

During my tenure on the City Council, I gained invaluable experience in local governance. I proactively addressed housing affordability in Mountain View, leading initiatives to purchase apartment complexes and preserve them as affordable housing for our community.

Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Board Member:
As a VTA board member, I secured Mountain View’s fair share of transportation funding and services, advocating for projects that improve local transit and reduce traffic congestion.

Founding Member of Silicon Valley Clean Energy:
I played a crucial role in the establishment of Silicon Valley Clean Energy, a public, not-for-profit agency providing clean electricity to 270,000 residential and business customers across 13 Silicon Valley communities.

Mountain View Planning Commission Chair (2006 - 2010):
As Chair in 2010 and Vice Chair in 2009, I was instrumental in guiding Mountain View’s growth and development, ensuring that our city’s expansion was strategic and sustainable.

As a member of the Environmental Planning Commission, I contributed to the formulation of long-range plans, including the General Plan, with a strong focus on maintaining environmental sustainability in Mountain View.
